"The photographs are of the buildings that presently exist [1997] on the land that Susanna Feltes purchased from her father. An obvious restoration project has modernized them a bit. The brick architecture of the house is definitely from the 1860-1880 period in this area. The original farm was 20 acres. The current buildings, however, are on a five acre parcel."

"The remaining parcels of land were owned by three sons of Johann Feltes (all were named John). Johann Sr. went to Iowa, then Kansas, but returned to Holland Twp by 1880. Peter retired from farming, died 1885 in Holland Twp. His daughter moved to Kansas about 1866-67."
