NOTES: |
In the 1870 Census Ruhamey and Miles are living with Mary Jones (born about 1810)
in the entry immediately after her parents. This might indicate that Mary was
a relative, possibly a widowed aunt? But I don't know who her husband was.

Could this be the same Mary Jones that appears alone in the 1850 and 1860 Censuses? Maybe she was the wife of the William Jones that appears in the 1830 and 1840 Censuses (born between 1800-1810). If so, he must have died between 1840 and 1850. By 1850 her 6 children would have all been older than 20. William, Abraham, and Berryman may have all been brothers. Abraham and Berryman both named a son William. Berryman named a son Abraham and Abraham named a son Berryman. Both had a son named Franklin and daughters named Mary and Elizabeth. Abraham also named a daughter Lucinda, possibly after Berryman's wife Licena/Lucinda? Her sister, Emily Rebeca Jones Smith, is living with her and Miles. Listed as widowed. Works as a housekeeper. 11 |
