NOTES: According to the 1880 census, Jane's mother, Ann (1810-?), lived with them. She was from Ireland. 08 00h
Herbert Seymour remembered his father visiting Finnegan Joe and thought he was the son of Jane and James but the 1900 census indicated they had no children and the book McCooey's and Their Footprints 23 also states they had no children. Could Joe have been their adopted son? It fits if he was adopted after 1900. 08 09 00h
