Class - Practice in the Classroom for First Confession

First Reconciliation is Saturday, January 25th. Preliminary plan: The students need to be there at 9 am and parents need to stay close by. Students will leave as they finish Reconciliation and their Penance.
Catechists need to be there by 8:15.

Go over the steps of Confession with the class as a whole. Act it out with your aide or a student volunteer.
Then set up 2 chairs (or 4 if you have an aide) and have the students line up as they would for Confession. Remind them to always leave space around the "confessional" for the privacy of the other person in Confession. Give the students a "practice" sin they can all say in their practice Confession.
Act as the priest and go over what happens in the confessional with each student.
When they are all done, go over how to say their penance before leaving the church.

If there is time, talk to them about sin and do an Examination of Conscience.
