NOTES: | There is a story that while William was working in the Wisconsin woods his parents headed west. They were to meet on the way. William met Josephine, fell in love, and married her instead. He never knew what happened to them. |
His death certificate states that his death was suicide due to gas however it was an accident and it upset the family very much when it was reported as suicide. He always hung his cane on the gas light. The family thinks that what happened was that he came home while everyone else was out, hung his cane on the gas light and didn't notice that he had turned it on. He had fractured his hip a few years before and couldn't work. 07 21 |
