Ceremony is Performed Which Unites Mr. John Hansen and Miss
Cora Glidden.
Mr. John Hansen and Miss Cora Glidden were united in marriage at St. Peter's church Tuesday morning at eight o'clock. Rev. Father Clifford performed the ceremony. The couple are highly esteemed young people of this city. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Glidden of 497 Jefferson avenue. After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents and the couple left on their honeymoon trip to the southern part of the state.

Chauncey Glidden and Miss Ruby Howard of this city were united in marriage July 27 at Menominee, Mich., District Attorney Jones performing the ceremony. A marriage reception was held at the home of the bride, 35 Tennessee street, to about twenty friends and relatives. A five course dinner was served at 6:30. The house was prettily decorated with carnations, sweet peas and ferns. Place cards used at the tables were in the form of hearts and cupids. The bride and groom received many beautiful presents, among them being silver, cut glass, and linen. For the present, they will reside at 35 Tennessee street.

Mrs. William Glidden, Formerly of Oshkosh, Passes Away - Bring Remains Here for Burial.
The funeral of Mrs. William Glidden,
75, who passed away Thursday at Milwaukee, will be held in this city
Monday morning. There will be a brief home service at the residence
of her son, William G. Glidden,
644 High street, at 8 o'clock and at St. Peter's church at 9 o'clock.
Rev. J. C. Hogan will officiate. Interment will be in Riverside
cemetery.
Mrs. Glidden was formerly a resident of Oshkosh. She was born at
Montreal, Canada, but came to this city when a child. She resided
here almost continuously up to two years ago, when she went to
Milwaukee. Her home in this city was on Elmwood avenue.
The deceased is survived by two sons,
William G. Glidden and
Chauncy Glidden, both of this city;
two daughters, Mrs. John Hanson of
Oshkosh and Mrs. Jack Hoita of
Milwaukee; three sisters, Mrs. Edward
Kelley and the Misses Mary and
Selina Gilboe, all of Oshkosh; five
brothers, Napolean and
Gilbert Gilboe, who reside in this
state, Joseph and
Frank Gilboe of Seattle, Wash., and
Andrew Gilboe of Los Angeles, Calif.;
and six grandchildren.
The remains of Mrs. Glidden arrived in this city from Milwaukee,
Friday night. The body may be viewed at 644 High street this evening
and up to the time of the funeral on Monday.
EXTENDED ILLNESS FOLLOWED BY DEATH
Chauncey Glidden died at Winnebago, Wis., Wednesday afternoon after an illness of several months. He was born in Oshkosh, March 11, 1885, and had resided here all his life. Survivors are his brother, William Glidden, Oshkosh; and two sisters, Mrs. John Hansen, of this city; and Mrs. Jack Horda, Milwaukee. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the Fiss & Bills funeral home and at 9 o'clock at St. Peter's Catholic church. Burial will be at Riverside cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday afternoon until the time of the services.
GLIDDEN - The funeral of Chauncey Glidden was held this morning at 8:30 o'clock from the Fiss & Bills funeral home and at 9 o'clock from St. Peter's Catholic church. The Rev. H. J. Kleiber officiated. The pallbearers were Laurence Kelly, Claude Glidden, Robert Hansan, Louis Dushinski, George Dushinski, and John March. Burial was at Riverside cemetery.

THE STATE OF WISCONSIN, To all to whom these presents shall come or may
concern, and especially to Cora Hansan of the City of Oshkosh, County of
Winnebago, State of Wisconsin, Greeting:
WHEREAS, application has been made to the County Court of said County, for
the appointment of a guardian for Dorna Glidden, minor, of the City of Oshkosh;
And it appearing to the Court that it is necessary to appoint a guardian for
said minor, and that the said Cora Hansan is a fit and proper person for said
trust; and the said Cora Hansan having been duly appointed as such guardian by the
Court, without bond.
NOW, THEREFORE, Trusting to your care and fidelity, we have appointed, and
do by these presents appoint you, the said Cora Hansan, as such guardian, and do
hereby authorize and empower you to take and have the care, custody and education
of said minor, and the care and management of her estate until she shall have
arrived at the age of twenty-one years, or until you shall be discharged according
to law; ....
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I, D. E. McDonald, Judge of said Court, have signed

WILLIAM G. GLIDDEN,
PAINT CONTRACTOR, DIES
William G. Glidden, 67, of 2611/2 Parkway,
passed away at his home at 4 o'clock this morning after an illness of one
and a half years. Mr. Glidden was born in Oshkosh, Jan. 31, 1882, and had
been a resident of this city his entire life. He was a painting and
decorating contractor for more than 25 years and was a member of the
painters' union, Local No. 145. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic
Church.
Surviors are his wife, Mrs. Karen Glidden; a son,
Claude Glidden, Oshkosh; two sisters,
Mrs. John Hansan, Oshkosh, and
Mrs. Jacob Hoida, West Allis.
Two grandchildren, Christine Glidden and Nancy Glidden of Oshkosh,
also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Fiss & Bills
funeral home and 10 o'clock at St. Peter's Catholic church with the Rev.
F.M. McKeough officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2
p.m. Sunday and until the time of services. The rosary will be recited
Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Glidden will be buried in Lakeview Memorial
park.
Dorna Jane Glidden Weds George Francis
The Rev. James A. Daum officiated at a simple but pretty ceremony at
First Presbyterian church Saturday afternoon when Miss Dorna
Jane Glidden, niece of Mr. and Mrs. John Hansan,
316 Forest avenue, became the bride of George Wright Francis, son
of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Francis of Racine.
Miss Marian Hansan was her cousin's maid of
honor and Mr. Francis had his brother, Wesley J. Francis of Racine
as best man. Given in marriage by her uncle, John Hansan,
the bride was attired in a white summer gabardine suit and had pink carnations
in a corsage bouquet and in her hair. Her attendant was dressed in a similarly
styled suit in aqua and had white carnations for her hair and her corsage.
There were 35 present at a wedding dinner served at the Town Grill,
where a reception was held later. After a wedding trip north the couple
will reside at Racine. The former Miss Glidden has been employed there
by the Bell Telephone Company.
Present at the wedding from away were guests from Racine, Kenosha,
Milwaukee and Appleton. The bride was guest of honor at a prenuptual party
at Appleton last week, given by Miss Eunice Forrester.

Mrs. Cora Hansan
Mrs. Cora Hansan, 68, of 64 Central St.,
died Tuesday at 12:50 p.m. at Winnebago County Home. The former
Cora Glidden, she was born in Rhinelander on Feb. 14, 1891, and
was married in Oshkosh on June 15, 1909 to
John P. Hansan, who preceded her
in death on Oct. 20, 1956. Mrs. Hansan was a member of St. Peter's
Catholic Church, Catholic Women and charter member of Aquinas Club.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs.
John March, Gardena, Calif., Mrs.
Arthur Reschlein, Milwaukee, and
Mrs. Edgar Seuer, Wausau; three sons,
Robert Hansan, Sheboygan,
John Hansan, Oshkosh, and
Thomas Hansan, at St. Patrick's
Air Force Base, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Phoebe
Hoida, Milwaukee; 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday at 8:30 a.m. at Fiss & Bills Funeral
Home and 9 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with the Rev. F. M.
McKeough officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 p.m. Thursday until the
hour of services. The rosary will be recited by Catholic Women and
Aquinas Club members Thursday at 4 p.m. The rosary also will be
recited at 7:30 p.m.

HANSAN, Mrs. Cora, 645 Central St. Services were held today at 8:30 a.m. at Fiss & Bills Funeral Home and 9 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with the Rev. F. M. McKeough officiating. Pallbearers were James Dauphin, William Sweet, Harold Ferris, Hugo Riese, Harold Kivell and George Blitz. Honorary bearers were members of Catholic Women and Aquinas Club, including Mrs. Bernard Kelly, Mrs. Glen Lincoln, Mrs. Elmer MacDonald, Miss Gertrude Marheine, Miss Tess Matthews and Miss Anna Matthews. Burial was in Lakeview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Pearl Hansan
Mrs. Pearl Hansan, 75, of 659 Central St. died today at 9 a.m. at Mercy Hospital, where she had been a patient one week. She was born in Manawa on March 13, 1890, and was married there on April 29, 1920, to Jacob Hansan, who preceded her in death on June 23, 1963. Mrs. Hansan had resided in Oshkosh since her marriage and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Marx Jr. and Mrs. Irene Bauernfeind, Oshkosh; two brothers, Andrew Gilboe, White Lake, and Harvey Gilboe, Albany, Minn.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services will be held Thursday at 8:30 a.m. at Fiss & Bills Funeral Home and 9 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, with the Rt. Rev. F. M. McKeough officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 3-9 p.m. The rosary will be recited Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
